Valorant's currently in its Episode 2 Act 3 but that's about to change later this month when patch 3.0 is expected to drop with the start of Episode 3 Act 1. Here's all we know so far.
It's safe to say that Valorant's Episode 2 Act 3 wasn't what many of us expected. Up until it got released, Riot Games introduced a new agent to the roster with each new Act. The current one was different as it failed to deliver on the agent part, but on the bright side it added the brand-new map Breeze. We didn't get a lot of teasers for agent 16 in Valorant, but that'll probably soon change as Episode 3 Act 1 draws near.

Valorant Episode 3 Act 1 Release Date
If there's one thing we're certain about Episode 3 Act 1 in Valorant, it's the release date. The next Valorant episode is set for release on June 22 and two reasons lead us to believe that. First and foremost: the current Battle Pass ends on June 21 and from what we've seen so far, the next day is usually "big patch day". The second reason has to do with the upcoming 2.11 patch and the 2.10 that got skipped. We're currently in patch 2.09 and Riot decided to skip 2.10 entirely. This means that 2.11 is expected to drop on June 8.
Periodically, we have to update the engine for our game. Due to the nature of these updates, we want to give ourselves plenty of testing time and a stabilization period before shipping it to you. So, there will be no Patch 2.10. The next update will be Patch 2.11, around June 8.

Considering Valorant patches drop every two weeks, it's a perfect match. If 2.11 arrives on June 8 it makes total sense to expect patch 3.0 and Episode 3 Act 1 on June 22.
Valorant Episode 3 Act 1 – What To Expect
When it comes to the actual patch notes, we can only guess. We probably won't see a new map again, but the next agent in line was already teased. Agent 16 in Valorant is codenamed Grenadier and since Riot are already dropping hints, it's a guarantee.
Valorant's Episode 3 Act 1 won't just be a new Act, but also the start of a new Episode. It's safe to assume that Riot has something big planned for the release. The recent Duality lore cinematic hints at us finding out more about Valorant's lore in the near future.
A new game mode isn't out of the question either. Balance changes and the long-promised buffs for Yoru are also guaranteed. Yeah, we remember. Just the other day, Riot confirmed that Yoru buffs are on the way, but we might not see them arrive on the day of the big patch. Perhaps a few weeks down the line.
We are looking into releasing updates to Breach, Skye, Yoru, and Astra.
