The Valorant First Strike tournament is still less than a month away but the qualifiers are already underway. Four teams earned a spot for the big event and Team Envy took the title.

After the conclusion of the Valorant Ignition Series, there has been a void in the competitive scene of the shooter. Luckily, Riot Games were quick to announce the next big event with First Strike. While the regional finals of the tournament are set for early December, the qualifiers are already happening. In fact, the first one for North America is a thing of the past.

NA First Strike: NSG Tournament

A total of eight teams will take part in the regional finals for North America and four of them are clear. The Nerd Street Gamers event came to an end over the weekend and we already know who’ll be preparing for December. The NSG tournament gathered some of the best teams from NA:

  • Gen.G Esports
  • TSM
  • Team Envy
  • Cloud9 Blue
  • 100 Thieves
  • T1
  • Sentinels
  • The Slimy Boogermen
  • Dignitas
  • Renegades

Out of the 16 teams, only eight made it to the playoffs. Team Envy, Renegades, Sentinels, and 100 Thieves were the final four. Envy faced 100 Thieves in the grand finals and it wasn’t much of a challenge as the series ended after 3 maps. Team Envy grabbed the champion’s title, along with a spot in the regional finals.

With the first four already clear, the remaining four for the regional finals will be revealed over the next two weeks. The UMG tournament is next in line and it’s set to kick off on November 18 and last until November 22.
