The Valorant Champions Tour has been underway for the past month with Challengers. Now that the latter is over, it's time for Masters Stage 1. Here's everything about the event!
Riot Games have done a good job of creating an esports ecosystem for Valorant in less than a year. Quite impressive for a game that young but Valorant was designed for competitive gaming. With numerous events in 2020 the title continues to attract attention with the Valorant Champions Tour.
Valorant Masters Stage 1
The Challengers series served as qualifiers for the Masters which gathered the top eight teams from each of the regions. Here are all the teams and the prize pools for each:
North America - $150,000

Now that's a lot of regions compared to some of the other mainstream titles. Valorant Masters Stage 1 has already kicked off in some regions like LATAM North and NA. In North America - Envy grabbed the first victory of the tournament against Gen.G and FaZe defeated XSET. In LATAM North, LDM and Lazer are already waiting in the grand finals of the two groups. Following the conclusion of Masters Stage 1, the 10 best teams will fight it out in Stage 2, Reykjavík starting May 24. You can watch the games live on the official Valorant Twitch channel.
