The Valorant esports scene keeps growing in 2021 and the Valorant Champions Tour is underway. Organizations and players are constantly making changes and we're here to keep you up to date.

We're in the first full week of April and there were already some notable roster changes in the Valorant competitive scene. Here are some of the most important player transfers so far.

Vice officially joins Andbox

Daniel "vice" Kim switched over from Cloud9's CS:GO roster to their Valorant one back in August 2020. After the team didn't find any success for months he left the organization last month and started his trial period in Andbox. As of April 16, he became an official part of the Andbox Valorant team.

Cloud9 Blue convert floppy and Xeppaa

Exactly a month after vice left Cloud9 Blue, his former teammate Skyler "Relyks" Weaver also decided to part ways with the squad. Cloud9 Blue were quick to find not one but two new players directly from their CS:GO division with Ricky "floppy" Kemery and Erick "Xeppaa" Bach.

With the two extra players Cloud9 Blue are back to six.

Fnatic Bench Tsack and Moe40

Back in February, Fnatic finally decided to enter the Valorant pro scene by signing the already accomplished roster of SUMN FC, a team that had no org behind it but still found success. Two months down the line Fnatic are benching two players - Kostas "tsack" Theodoropoulos and Muhammad "Moe40" Hariff.

These changes are without a doubt a result of the recent Stage 2 Challengers 1 EU Open Qualifiers where Fnatic failed to make the cut. The team placed 9-16th after losing to the Swedish Alliance. Currently, Fnatic's Valorant roster is as follows:

  • Jake "Boaster" Howlett
  • Domagoj "Doma" Fancev
  • James "Mistic" Orfila
  • Jacob "mini" Harris (head coach)

OG Switch Stand-Ins

At the end of March Dylan "aKm" Lindström went inactive in the OG Valorant roster. Since the team didn't have enough time to find a replacement, they took a stand-in in the face of Jakub "Kuba" Dogan. Now Kuba's leaving and another stand-in appears with Harry "DPS" MacGill.

Spacestation Gaming Dop Their Valorant Team

The North American Spacestation Gaming is no longer competing with a Valorant team. The entire roster was dropped and if we had to guess it's probably due to the bad results.

Who knows, maybe they'll return someday?

Chet Leaves NRG

NRG have a roster with six players and no coach, well at least not anymore. The NA org released Chet "Chet" Singh who served as coach since October 2020. It's unclear who'll replace him, but the team is sticking together.

Those are all the big changes we've seen in April but stay tuned for an update as we'll definitely see more down the line!
