Only a few weeks after the release, Fracture was removed from Valorant. A bug caused huge problems when planting the spike. RiotGames has responded to the community's complaints and removed the map from the game for the time being. When you read this article, the bug on Fracture should hopefully be fixed or at least will be very soon.
It didn't take long, but a bug on Fracture caused Riot Games to remove the new map from the Valorant map pool. In a tweet to the community, the developer said that they have recognized the problem and that they would solve it.
The map was taken out of the competitive mode for 24 hours to allow for enough time for the bug to be fixed. But what exactly was the bug on Fracture? We give you the details about the bug that made the Valorant community so angry.

Riot Games Removes Fracture
Actually, the bug destroys the whole game. If you have ever been on Fracture, you surely know how it works there. The defenders spawn in the middle of the map, the attackers on ziplines at the edge of it. And that's where the problem comes in: If someone drops the spike on a zipline, it simply clips through the map and is irretrievable. Let the trolling begin, and that is what exactly happened. Salty players were dropping the spike on the zipline and ruining matches for their team.
One too many reports are coming in that the Spike is spawning underneath Fracture. So, we're pulling the map from the Competitive queue until there's a fix-hopefully in under 24 hours.

While on other maps, the spike respawns at a certain place in case of such problems, it remains buggy on Fracture. That's why Riot Games reacted quickly and took the map off the competitive servers. It's rather impressive for game devs to react so quickly, but Valorant really only has the competitive mode, so acting fast was definitely in the best interest of Riot.
When Will Fracture Return to Valorant?
As already announced on Twitter, Fracture will be available again in the next 24 hours. Even if the bug is fixed, the community remains disappointed with the map. The reactions in the social media show that the fans expected much more from Fracture and its features. It's understandable as Valorant maps feel very similar, sure there are differences between them, but no map has blown my mind yet.
