Christmas is approaching and Riot Games have prepared some themed skins with the Winter Wonderland collection. Here’s what you can expect.

Valorant skins have gone around through many themes so far, from the cyberpunk-themed Glitchpop series to the epic Elderflame. Now it’s time for Christmas with the Winter Wonderland collection and the BlastX pack.

In a recent interview with Valorant developers, Youtuber aSmoogl revealed the upcoming skins and also talked about the development process.

“There’s always a big process. If it’s like the moment someone comes up with an idea to the moment it ships, that’s usually a couple of months.”

“It’s sort of inspired by these little German winter villages. I saw all of these little towns and was super inspired.”

The new series of skins are somewhat similar to the previously seen Nebula. Unlike the latter, the image won’t move but you’ll get a night version when there’s no source of light around.

Here are the rest of the weapons that’ll get a Winter Wonderland skin.

BlastX

Winter Wonderland is not the only skin collection coming for the holidays. There's also BlastX and it should bring some nice memories from your childhood with some nerf guns. All of the weapons in the BlastX collection have four levels. Depending on the latter you’ll get an even more cartoony feel when using them.

When you reach level three you'll also unlock a special weapon animation which makes your character unwrap the weapon.

“It’s just a different experience. We know players like to just spam.”

That’s certainly good news for everyone who likes to swap weapons non-stop. Sadly it’ll also encourage people to do it more often. You can check the full video on aSmoogl's channel. As for the release date and price on the new skins - both are still not clear. Considering that patch 1.14 just announced a special event coming on December 15, our guess is the skins will also be released then (at least Winter Wonderland). Are you excited about the new skins?
