VCT Stage 2 Masters Reykjavik: NUTURN Gaming beat Sharks Esports
The third series played out yesterday was between the Korean NUTURN Gaming, and the Brazilian Sharks Esports. This was the first series that actually needed a third map to determine a winner. Sharks took the lead on Haven, but NUTURN followed with a reverse sweep by winning both Bind and Ascent. The Sharks went to the lower bracket, where they'll fight for survival against KRÜ, while NUTURN are the first team to qualify for the upper bracket semifinals.
Day 2
VCT Stage 2 Masters Reykjavik: Sentinels take down Fnatic
One of the big clashes in the Stage 2 Masters Reykjavik happened yesterday between Sentinels and Fnatic. While fans expected an epic showdown and at least three maps, Sentinels made quick work of their foes with a 2:0. The NA team advanced to the upper bracket semifinals while Fnatic were sent to the lower bracket.
VCT Stage 2 Masters Reykjavik: Team Vikings defeat X10 Esports
The best in Brazil defeated the top team from Southeast Asia, as Vikings stole the series from X10 Esports. It took only two maps to decide the winner, but they were as close as it could possibly get. Team Vikings will face Sentinels next in the upper bracket semifinals.
VCT Stage 2 Masters Reykjavik: Team Liquid fall to Version1
The best in Europe versus the second-best from North America was another series we were looking forward to, and it definitely didn't let us down. Team Liquid took the lead with a hard-earned victory on Split but Version1 followed with a reverse sweep on Ascent and Haven. Version1 advance to the semifinals where they'll go against NUTURN Gaming. In the meantime, Liquid will have to survive the lower bracket.
Day 3
VCT Stage 2 Masters Reykjavik: Sentinels await in the winner's finals
The first team to earn a spot in the winner's finals was Sentinels. Yesterday, NA's finest defeated Team Vikings with a convincing 2:0, and they eagerly await their next opponent. There's a high chance the latter will be Version1, but maybe NUTURN Gaming will surprise us.
VCT Stage 2 Masters Reykjavik: Crazy Raccoon and Sharks Esports are out
Yesterday we also saw two series in the first round of the lower bracket which meant that two teams will be going home. The Japanese Crazy Raccoon fell to X10 Esports while Sharks Esports were eliminated by KRÜ Esports.

The most contested series of day 4 in Reykjavik was between the South Korean NUTURN Gaming and the second-best in NA - Version1. While many fans thought this would be a walk in the park for Version1, the Koreans proved them wrong. NUTURN Gaming lost the first map, but then won the series with 2:1 after two very close games. They'll have to face Sentinels later today, while Version1 got knocked down to the lower bracket.
