Finally, the beta of WoW: Shadowlands is live. Here you can find out what to expect, what's new, and how you can see if you're in.
Just a few days ago, the World of Warcraft: Shadowlands beta was about to go live. Yesterday evening, the alpha servers were finally shut down and the beta patch was applied to the Blizzard test server shortly after. Some changes to the launcher interface were also made in order to reflect that.

How Does Beta Work?
You start directly at level 50, which is the final level of the current expansion in Battle for Azeroth. Create the classes you want to test and get started right away. Up to level 60, you can experience exciting stories of different races.
Much of the final content is also playable:
- Torghast, Tower of the Damned
- Dungeons like "Theater of Pain" and "Plaguefall"
- ALL Legendary Items for each class. Here you have to test diligently for balancing and find bugs!
One of the most exciting features is also free for testing:
- The four pacts and the Soulbind system
In WoW: Shadowlands a lot will be about the latter. Once you reach level 60, you will need to choose one of the four pacts and a companion with whom you will form a soul bond. These will change your gaming experience forever! You'll get new abilities, passive effects, and incredibly cool-looking transmog sets. You can find more information about the content and how to join the beta on Blizzard's official website.
Are You In?
Just check your Battle.net account. Start the launcher and go to the server selection tab at World of Warcraft. If the WoW Shadowlands Beta is displayed there, you can start downloading immediately (make sure you have an invitation first though) and get into the adventure of Warcraft beyond.
If you haven't had any luck so far, don't despair. Blizzard will be sending out new invitations over the weekend, and you just might be amongst the lucky ones. With that in mind, good luck and see you soon in the Shadowlands.
