Riot Games haven’t released a new trailer, no. This time it’s the effort of the community which brings a gift to anyone interested in Riot’s upcoming tactical shooter- Valorant. Fans have been trying to figure out the whole map by analyzing every video and there’s a result.

It seems like Blitz.gg has a finished product as they released a map of the first Valorant battleground. Anyone who plans to dedicate some time to Riot’s new game is probably already looking all around the web for ways to get ahead. The current map is a good start as it’ll give players a better idea of the whole layout. So far there’s only one game mode revealed – bomb defusal. In the months to come before and after the game’s release, we’ll probably see more options coming from Riot. If Valorant is to really challenge the status quo shooters of today it’ll do well to bring something new to make it unique amongst its rivals. Introducing alternative fire modes for some of the weapons is certainly a good start.

Just as expected initially, we see the three bombing sites which are much closer to the defenders and that comes as no surprise. Much like CS:GO almost every part of the map has a specific in-game name tied to it. This will encourage communication between squadmates and allow them to give pin-point direction to their team. Unlike CS:GO defenders will have an extra 30 seconds at game start before the attackers are deployed. This seems like a very odd decision by Riot and we’ll have to see how it’ll affect the game’s balance. Chances are we’ll have defenders rushing to simply kill the attackers, instead of defending the sites. Then again the number of sites is 3, which makes the array of possibilities even wider. Teams are still made of five people each, so splitting five into three doesn’t go too well for the defenders.

What’s really interesting though is we don’t see any teleporters marked on the map. We know for certain this will be a feature in Valorant and it’ll definitely change the pace of the game. It’ll also compensate for the huge map with three sites, allowing players to close some gaps in a blink. Furthermore, rumor are circling that one of the upcoming characters will also have access to a teleport of his own. How will it fit in the game’s meta though?

Note that all of the information above, even the map, might be subject to change as the game is still not out. Valorant is scheduled to release this summer and everyone is already more than excited.
