According to the latest leaks, the next Warzone crossover could be with the Star Wars universe. Will we be able to play Warzone as Darth Maul or Luke Skywalker?
Warzone is a free-to-play title and is financed through microtransactions. While many players may not like this, it is common practice, especially in the Battle Royale genre. Apex Legends, Fortnite, even Fall Guys, all of these games can be played completely for free, but offer a Battle Pass and character and weapon skins for purchase in return. In order to motivate as many players as possible to make a purchase, publishers naturally use popular themes and create crossovers with other games, movies or comics.
Fortnite has always been known for incorporating characters from pretty much every medium into their game, and Warzone jumped on that quite some time ago as well. We've already had crossovers with Attack on Titan, Rambo, Die Hard, and even more recently the Monsterverse with Godzilla and King Kong. According to a new leak, Activision is now apparently planning a collaboration with the Star Wars franchise.
Darth Maul in Warzone
The well-known leaker TheGhostOfHope recently posted a small teaser on Twitter, according to which we might get Darth Maul as an operator skin in Warzone. Here is the leaker's tweet:

Unfortunately, apart from this tweet, we don't have any further clues whether we will really get a Warzone x Star Wars crossover. However, since the leaker has often been right in the past and Warzone has already had some pretty absurd crossovers, as described above, we wouldn't be surprised if we actually got Star Wars skins soon.
I mean, we can already run around as Snoop Dogg, Godzilla, King Kong or Billy the Doll from SAW, so why not Darth Maul? A Star Wars crossover would definitely offer a lot of possibilities and certainly bring in a lot of money – it worked in Fortnite, too. Just imagine if there was also a Darth Vader or Chewbacca skin.... I'm sure some players will literally throw their money at the screen.
