The Best Warzone RAM-7 Loadout | Is it Viable?

The RAM-7 has always put out good damage, but many users have struggled with the recoil. With our loadout, the RAM-7 can still be viable, even today.

The RAM-7 is an ancient weapon from the days of Modern Warfare. At that time, it was considered an absolute beast because it put out such good damage, but it was always a bit more difficult to control than other ARs. In principle, the RAM can be compared well with the M4A1. It has a fairly high rate of fire and good TTK, but the recoil is a little more erratic. So can we make it viable with the right attachments? Absolutely!

How To Unlock The RAM-7

The RAM-7 could be unlocked in the Modern Warfare Season 1 Battle Pass at level 31. This means that any players who didn't get the Battle Pass way back in 2020 must now either buy the RAM-7 in a bundle or unlock it via a challenge.

For the challenge, you have to get 2 headshots with an assault rifle in 25 different matches. Pretty easy, but it can take quite a while in Warzone. We therefore advise completing the challenge in MW multiplayer.

MuzzleMonolithic Suppressor

Barrel

FSS Ranger

Optic

VLK 3.0
UnderbarrelCommando Foregrip
Magazine50 Round Mags

Looking at the build, there aren't really any big surprises. The suppressor has always been mandatory in Warzone, as it not only hides you when shooting, but also increases the range of the weapon at the same time. The FSS Ranger barrel improves range even more and most importantly increases bullet velocity, making hitting moving targets much easier. The commando foregrip and 50-round magazines are also a no-brainer in Warzone for improved recoil control and firepower.

The choice of optic isn't too surprising, either. The VLK 3.0x has always been popular in Call of Duty: Warzone for medium to long range combat. If you get along well with the Iron Sights, you can of course also do without an optic and instead take a rear grip for more mobility. But personally, we think the irons are nasty.

Although the RAM-7 is a good all-rounder, we still recommend packing a fast weapon for close combat. The MP7 does a damn good job here. It's mobile, fast and has a fierce TTK. With the above setup, you are perfectly equipped for close combat. Here we have a detailed MP7 guide.

The Best Equipment For The RAM-7

LethalThermite
TacticalSnapshot Grenade

We'll take Thermite because it's great against vehicles and infantry alike, and then Snapshot Grenades because they give you a lot of intel on where your enemies are.

The Best Extras For The RAM-7

Perk 1E.O.D.
Perk 2Overkill
Perk 3Amped

No real surprises here, as Overkill is a requirement for this loadout and Amped speeds up weapon switching. E.O.D. isn't as important now as it was in the old C4/RPG days, but it can still save your ass now and then.

Of course, if you want, you can also use the solid combo of Combat Scout and Cold-blooded, but that's strictly for Caldera and less applicable to Rebirth.

That was our best RAM-7 guide. If you prefer to play a big LMG, take a look at our Bruen Guide.
