Warzone 2 Ranked Play is taking a strong stance against cheating in the competitive BR mode by implementing measures against cheater, including a minimum level restriction that players must reach. Here is everything you need to know!
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded is almost here! On May 10 the big mid-season update is about to launch. Besides a lot of new features, Warzone 2 Ranked Play will finally be introduced in Season 3 Reloaded. Players are eagerly anticipating the chance to try out the new competitive BR mode. Will it be the same success as Modern Warfare 2's Ranked Play?
Warzone 2 Ranked Play Against Cheaters
Cheating has always been a problem in Call of Duty, with players using various hacks to gain an unfair advantage over their opponents. Even with the RICOCHET anti-cheat system in Modern Warfare 2's Ranked Play, cheaters still managed to reach the top Skill Divisions.
To fight against cheaters even more, Warzone 2's Ranked Play will require a minimum level restriction for players to access the competitive mode. This is a preventative measure aimed at making it harder for cheaters to create new accounts and immediately jump into Ranked Play.
- If you're curious about what it's like to play MW2's Ranked Play, you might want to give Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 a try!
The strict level requirement for accessing Warzone 2 Ranked Play is set at level 45 to provide enough time for RICOCHET to detect and ban any suspected cheaters.
Additionally, the official Call of Duty Twitter account posted a tweet on May 9, where they explain other upcoming preventative measures against cheater:
From #TeamRICOCHET - In preparation for Warzone Ranked Play (Beta) the team has: Activated new server-side detection systems Developed new backend tools for investigation with studios Updated 3rd-Party Hardware Device detections Enforced password resets on accounts...

But players actually don't believe that these new measures will make a difference:
I'll believe it when I see it.
or
good joke
- If you don't want to cheat (I hope so!!), but you want your controller to be a little more extra, maybe you should give the Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller a try!
What do you think of these preventative measures against cheater? Will they finally work?
Have you heard of CoD 2023 yet?
