Warzone Pacific Season 2 is approaching the midseason. And if you've been playing Warzone for a while, then you know this means we're getting a broken weapon, a lot of bugs, and a divisive map change. Although this time, it's not the BR map being changed, it's Rebirth Island. Here's the release date for Rebirth Reinforced, as well as a few details regarding what changes we can expect.

When Is The Rebirth Reinforced Release Date?

Rebirth Reinforced will be released alongside the Season 2: Reloaded event, on Thursday, 24 March. We don't have an exact time of release yet, but we can probably expect the event to launch at the same time as the weekly playlist update (10:00 PT / 13:00 ET / 17:00 GMT / 18:00 CET). Here's the confirmation from Raven Software themselves:

This has potential to be hugely popular. A lot of the hardcore fanbase have drifted increasingly over to Rebirth, and yet the map receives far less attention than Caldera.

At the same time as the Rebirth Island rework, we'll also be getting the following new content:

Vanguard Multiplayer

Warzone

General

  • New Map: Castle (A giant map set in the alps)
  • New Mode: Ground War
  • New Vehicles: Tanks & Motorcycles

So even if you're only interested in the Rebirth Island rework, there's going to be a fairly large download coming. Luckily, Warzone updates are usually available to pre-download about 48 hours before implementation, so you can get it sorted ahead of time.

What Will Change On Rebirth Island?

Raven Software haven't mentioned exactly what they plan to change, but we have one very low-res picture of the new changes and a couple of clues. In the announcement for Season 2, all they said about Rebirth Reinforced was: "there are rumors of a resurgence at Rebirth Island…and we’re not talking about the game mode." But in the Roadmap, they provided a very small picture of Rebirth Reinforced:

In addition to this small picture, there was also another clue that Twitter users identified in the recent announcement. In reply to JGOD's popular response, "hopefully they removed the sniper tower in Living Quarters", another user responded:

So we know that they didn't remove the sniper tower from Living Quarters.

We'll have to wait and see exactly what they change, but we probably shouldn't expect them to add too much. The beauty of the map is that it's smaller, and naturally less campy, and they won't want to change that by building upward. It's more likely that they reorganize the pieces of cover already on Rebirth to make movement between areas easier, like the push from Security Area up into mid, for instance.
