The Best Warzone ZRG 20mm Loadout | The Best Sniper Rifle In The Game

The ZRG is finally good and replaces the Kar98k and Swiss K31 in Warzone as the meta sniper rifle. We have the best ZRG 20mm setup and loadout for you here.

The ZRG 20mm was never really popular before because it was just way too slow, but thanks to the recent balance changes the ZRG is one of the few snipers left that can still one-hit-down from any range. Since the Swiss and Kar can no longer kill with a headshot at range, the slower, fatter snipers like the HDR, AX-50 and ZRG have become popular again. So let's take a look at what this big ol' BOCW sniper is capable of and what the best setup and loadout for the ZRG in Warzone is.

The Best ZRG 20mm Setup

MuzzleWrapped Suppressor
Barrel43.9" Combat Recon
LaserSWAT 5mw Laser Marker
Magazine5 Rnd
Rear GripSerpent Wrap

Since the ZRG is slow, we'll aim to boost the ADS as much as possible. You won't get a sniper like the pre-nerf Kar98k, but you can get the ZRG fast enough.

The suppressor allows us to remain invisible on the map when shooting and gives some control, which compensates for the disadvantage of the barrel. The barrel increases our bullet velocity, though, so it's worth it. With the grip and laser we get us some much-needed ADS speed, and finally, we add a larger magazine. This build is providing one-shot potential on any distance, while at the same time not being too slow.

The Volk is the best sniper support right now. Thanks to its good mobility and high rate of fire, it is extremely strong at distances of 0 to 25 meters, which makes it the perfect sniper support. Of course, an AK-47 or XM4 still works great, but definitely check out the Volk as sniper support. Here's our in-depth Volk guide.

The Best Equipment for the ZRG 20mm

LethalClaymores
TacticalHeartbeat Sensor

We recommend a typical sniper loadout here. Because the ZRG is a slow-moving weapon with plenty of punch, it's less suited to fast, quick-scope action. So you want to find a good sniper spot and defend it. Here Claymores are the absolute best choice to cover your back. And with the Heartbeat Sensor you can check buildings before you climb onto the roof, or you can slowly work your way into the last circle.

The Best Perks for the ZRG 20mm

Perk 1Cold-blooded
Perk 2Overkill
Perk 3Combat Scout

The usual meta setup again. We need overkill to be able to carry both weapons, and we know the combo of Combat Scout and Cold-blooded well enough by now. Combat Scout marks live pings enemies and Cold-blooded counters this perk, so we don't get marked ourselves.

That was all there is to know about the ZRG. If you're looking for another strong sniper, try the HDR.
