American Horror Story has already blessed us with eleven seasons of creepy, weird and sometimes downright terrifying stories that have entertained us for well over 10 years now. Recently, FX Studios gave as a first glimpse at American Horror Story season 12 that left us even more confused than we were before.

If you want to watch that first trailer, or simply want everything we know so far about American Horror Story season 12, including release date, theme, cast and more, you've come to the right place.

American Horror Story Season 12 Release Date & Schedule

The newest addition to American Horror Story, called Delicate, is set to release on September 20, 2023, at 10pm ET. You can watch on FX or stream via Hulu.

The show will adopt a new trend that has been happening with many major series like Stranger Things and The Witcher and release in two parts with 5 episodes each.

After the first episode airs on September 20, they will release the next four episodes on a weekly basis.

Regarding part two, there is no official release date yet, so it might not even happen this year.

What's The Cast For American Horror Story Season 12?

The upcoming season of AHS will see some veterans returning to the show, as well as some new additions that might catch you off guard:

  • Emma Roberts – Anna Alcott
  • Kim Kardashian – Tanya
  • Matt Czuchry
  • Cara Delevingne
  • Annabelle Dexter-Jones
  • Michaela Jaé Rodriguez
  • Odessa A’zion
  • Billie Lourd
  • Julie White
  • Debra Monk
  • Zachary Quinto
  • Denis O’Hare.

Before you get your hopes up, it seems like Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters won't make their return for season 12! Even though the two have become staples within the series, it seems like American Horror Story will have to continue without them.

What's The Theme For American Horror Story Season 12?

If you're curious what you can expect from the next season of American Horror Story, the Teaser FX recently dropped is the place to go. Even though it will probably leave you more confused after watching it, it offers a nice first glimpse at the stylistic choices they made.

For some more concrete information regarding the plot, this is the first time we actually have some kind of source material to base our theories on! For the first time in AHS history, they're not gonna tell an original story and instead will adapt Danielle Valentine's book, Delicate Condition .

Anna Alcott is desperate to have a family. But as she tries to balance her increasingly public life as an indie actress with a gruelling IVF regime, she starts to suspect that someone is going to great lengths to make sure that never happens. [...] When she finally does get pregnant, someone breaks into her house and steals the ultrasound photograph of her baby. But despite everything she's gone through, not even her husband is willing to believe that someone is playing twisted games with her. Then her doctor tells her she's had a miscarriage—except Anna's convinced she's still pregnant [...]. As her symptoms and sense of danger grow ever more horrifying, Anna can't help but wonder what exactly she's carrying inside of her...and why no one will listen when she says something is horribly, painfully wrong.

Just reading through the description for Danielle Valentine's book send shivers down my spine, and the plot really seems to fit well into the AHS universe, where ominous pregnancies with terrifying circumstances are not rare at all!

It is still not clear how closely the directors for the show will stick to the books, but we can assume that season 12 will revolve around the themes of pregnancy, motherhood, sprinkled with a bit of paranoia.
