Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - A Story Of Moving Forward
As Marvel fans we are still grieving for Chadwick Boseman, actor of T’Challa and the original Black Panther. In 2020, he died of cancer and left a legacy behind.
Because of his passing Marvel had to make a hard choice. In the end they decided to Chadwick by not recasting him, instead his character died with him. So now the movie deals with the mantle of Black Panther and the people he left behind.
Originally, Black Panther 2 would have been about T’Challa and his son, who was born while he vanished during the Blip. In an interview with the New York Times, director Ryan Coogler describes the old concept:
It was absolutely nothing like what we made. It was, 'What are we going to do about the Blip?' [which saw T'Challa and others vanish for five years following the events of Infinity War]. It was going to be a father-son story.
Gather your friends and family in February and watch Marvel’s highlight of 2022. Wakanda Forever !
