Remember Marvel's Wolverine? Insomniac Games, makers of Spider-Man for PS4, revealed a while ago that they're also making a Wolverine game. And the crowd went wild. That is still such a crazy and cool idea. But... where art thou, wolfie? We heard nothing about the Wolverine game since its reveal. Until now. A curious incident seems to have revealed the release date for Marvel's Wolverine.

Marvel's Wolverine Release Date Leaked By... Microsoft?!

This is a bit of a weird one. So, as you probably know, Microsoft is trying to buy Activision and has been running into a bit of trouble because of that. Microsoft has submitted a document to the British regulatory body CMA in order to persuade them. And what was included in that document? Yes: the claim, that Wolverine will come out in 2023. Wat. Here's what the document says:

PlayStation also has a spate of first- and third-party exclusive titles lined up for launch in 2023, including Spider-Man 2, Wolverine, Horizon, Final Fantasy VXVI and Forspoken.

Pretty odd, considering that all of these titles have been confirmed to come out in 2023... except Wolverine. But how could Microsoft know this then? Honestly, that's hard to say. Maybe this is mere speculation on their part. But this is what they claim, here is the document if you want to check. Page 10. Thank me later.

Wolverine is still a while away, but you can check out these amazing games right now:

Both Sony and Insomniac have been silent about Wolverine, let alone a release date. They are fully focused on Spider-Man 2 at the moment. Could both of these big games come out in the same year? Possible, but unlikely. This is all we have to go on for now, so let's hope that Insomniac will come out soon to confirm the Wolverine release date and finally show off the game.
