It's been well over a decade since the Uncharted film was first announced, and needless to say, it's been a bumpy road. The film is actually on its seventh director at this point. But enough cynicism, the film really is close to release now, and we're expecting an official trailer any day. But if you're a fan who just can't wait then you're in luck; footage has been leaked of Tom Holland performing a famous stunt from the games.

The Uncharted Movie Leak

First things first, we're sure you actually want to see the leak for yourself. But be warned: this is grainy, shaky, hand-held footage. It'll remind you of the days of pirate DVDs - but it is definitely Tom Holland, and it is definitely The Uncharted Movie:

To any of you who have played the Uncharted games, that scene would have been familiar. And you can probably expect them to try and recreate a lot of the most famous set pieces from across the franchise.

The fact that footage like this even exists, and that it's been properly edited, does at least confirm that the project is absolutely close to being completed. Hopefully, that can provide some respite to the fans who have been watching this project fail to launch for the last decade.

When Will The Uncharted Movie Be Released?

The Uncharted Movie will release on February 18, 2022, in IMAX 3D, RealD 3D, and Dolby Cinema. You should expect to see a lot of cross-promotion around this date as well, perhaps the Uncharted games will go on sale, or potentially news about a new game will come to light. We'll keep you posted, on any further developments with this project.
