Hugh Jackman will officially return as Wolverine and I'm the happiest fanboy in the world right now.
Let's be real: Huge Jacked Man is the best Wolverine we'll ever get. It's the same as Robert Downey and Iron Man - the man is Wolverine. So when Hugh said he'd call it quits, my world was shooketh. Now, it seems that Ryan Reynold's obsession with the walking, talking Australian man-crush seems to have paid off: Hugh Jackman agreed to return as Wolverine... for Deadpool 3.
Hugh Jackman Returns as Wolverine
Well that puts the rumors about Clint Eastwood's son (Scott, was it?) or Tom Hardy picking up the claws... also it kinda ruins the ending of Logan, but I think we all agree that we can live with that, because all we really ever wanted is more Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Even that crappy Wolverine movie from way back was enjoyable thanks to him... and that's saying something.
Here's the thing though: Logan takes place in 2029, and Deadpool 3 takes place in whatever year its released in (September 5, 2024), so there is absolutely no reason why Hugh can't return as Wolverine, no matter how butt-hurt Logan director Mangold is (and pretends not to be):
Oh my gosh! Everybody chill. Just kidding! I'm all good! LOGAN will always be there. Multiverse or prequel, time warp or worm hole, canon or non-canon or even without a rationale, I cannot wait to see what maddness my dear friends @VancityReynolds and @RealHughJackman cook up! pic.twitter.com/qaCG4Z39x4

Deadpool 3 Trailer
Anyway, the announcement also comes with a... kind-of-trailer that features our two handsome protagonists, teasing what kind of movie we can expect Deadpool 3 to be, or rather what we can expect from Wolverine's appearance. Unsurprisingly, it will be violent - the movie is r-rated, after all - and I totally expect the typical 'they're gonna be at odds at first, but then work together to defeat evil, and then go they're seperate ways... but not really'-plotline, but I'm fine with that because it's Deadpool and they'll put an original spin on it. Also, Deadpool 3 is part of the MCU, so that's hype, but enough from me... here's the trailer:
