Keanu Reeves, one of the most beloved actors, wants to play Batman. So step aside Robert Pattinson, give our boy Keanu a turn why don't you, eh?
Keanu Reeves is known for his roles in action thrillers like the Matrix and John Wick. He's also known for being one of the nicest people in Hollywood with feel-good stories being told about the 57-year-old all the time.
He's done just about anything and everything when it comes to movies and he's one of the most well-known actors out there, but there is one role that he hasn't got to play yet... at least not in a live-action version.
Keanu Reeves Wants to Play the Batman
In just two-days time on July 28, 2022 DC League of Super-Pets is coming to theatres and well... Batman is in this animated movie about super-powered pets, but it isn't quite 'The Batman' if you so will. No, this is a funny, family friendly animated film for children under the age of 12. Batman might make an appearance, but he won't be voiced by the Robert Pattinson who has recently taken up the role of Batman in the live-action movies.
Instead, Keanu Reeves got to voice Batman and this gave the famous actor a taste of what it's like to be a superhero. Reeves spoke to Extra about taking on the role of Batman, stating that if DC ever needed an older version, he would be happy to take on the role of the famous vigilante.
I love Batman as a character, and I love him in the comic books, in the films, so to get the opportunity to voice, to play Batman, was awesome.
More Batman Movies Coming
In the Spring of 2022 Robert Pattinson took on the role of the Batman with great success. A sequel has already been announced, but if DC would ever venture into unknown territory then we would love to see a Batman multiverse of some sort with an older version of Robert Pattinson's Batman being played by Keanu Reeves.
Of course, that is just our own wish, but we could totally see it work, right? Well, until then we will have to make do with Keanu Reeves merely voicing the character in an animated movie for children...
