As Samuel L. Jackson and Disney sit down to finalize details on the Mace Windu show, we're left wondering if they even need to make this next TV epic.
With Obi-Wan Kenobi just around the corner, and with Boba Fett in full swing, news of an upcoming Mace Windu TV series won't come as much of a surprise. This was a cool and beloved character, and it seems that Disney are intent on making content for Disney + with every cool and beloved character Star Wars has ever produced. That's not a bad thing necessarily, these are well-produced shows, but do we need so many of them all at once?
Mace Windu Show "Inevitable"
As The Direct reported, Samuel L. Jackson has now openly expressed his desire to work alongside Disney in bringing back the Mace Windu character for the small screen. Jackson said the following on a recent recording of the Happy Sad Confused show:
There’s a huge history of people with one hand returning in Star Wars… The only person I’ve ever said that to about coming back was Bryce Dallas Howard, ’cause I just did a movie with her. And she directs episodes of The Mandalorian, so, ‘You think you might be able to hook a brother up? I mean you like me, right?’ She’s like, ‘I love you, you’re amazing!’ So, ‘Put me back in there… Put me in coach, I’m ready!’ You know, I’ll learn to lightsaber left-handed. Come on, hook me up.”

This is the kind of news you have to shrug your shoulders at. Of course, Disney were going to make a Mace Windu show. It's like printing money. But if they do make the show, they need to explain that ridiculous purple lightsaber.
