Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse hit theaters and people didn't even notice there were two versions out there.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has been one of the best received animated superhero movies ever. Now, its sequel is challenging its predecessor for the throne and that without people even knowing one of the best Easter Eggs of the movie! That is, that Across the Spider-Verse actually released in two versions.
This time, we're following Miles exploring various alternate realities together with a returning Gwen Stacy and Oscar Issac as Spider-Man 2099.
The Best thing, though, is that not only is the movie introducing us to an endless amount of Spider-Man variants, it also offers the viewer the multiverse experience with two versions of the movie playing in different theaters.
Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Offers Multiverse Experience For Fans
If you ever wanted to get the full on multiverse experience, now is your chance, as a Twitter user recently pointed out that there are two versions of the Spider-Verse movie running in theaters at the moment.

The tweet shows two clips of the same scene in the Spider-Verse movie, but there's a twist! In one version of the movie you can see Lyla (the hologram lady) take a selfie with Miguel (Spider-Man 2099) using a bunny filter and in the other one she is simply pointing at him.
The fact that there are two versions of the film running in cinemas was then confirmed by the associate editor on Spider-Verse movies, Andrew Leviton.
I was wondering when people might start noticing... https://t.co/E6G9tUXmDE

This quickly got people's attention and fans started compiling a list of all the differences they could spot, which Culture Crave, then posted on Twitter.

It not quite clear, whether this is all the differences in the two versions of the movie, but it's rather unlikely. There's bound to be even more minor details that just haven't been discovered yet.
But one major question is, how will they handle this on Disney+ or DvD? I mean, people will probably want to pick which of the versions they watch. Will Disney simply release one of them, or both?
Guess we got to wait and see how things turn out once the movie can be purchased, but it sure is an ingenious gimmick!
