Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 1 is ending in a few days, so we're asking the most important question. Will there be a spectaculat live-event?
Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 is going to start in a few days and players are already asking about a potential live event. Come on guys, there was always an epic event at the end of a season. Would it be any different this time around?
Live events have become some of the most important aspects of Fortnite. They bring players together for the huge in-game spectacle and well... Epic Games also profits from this, and we all know how much corporations love their monettas. So, the only question left is whether we're going to be on the receiving end of such a spectacle at the end of Chapter 3, Season 1.
Will There Be A Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 1 Live-Event?
We will have to disappoint you. It seems like there won't be a live event at the end of Chapter 3 Season 1. After the last big Update 19.40, leakers went and scoured the code to try and find any teasers for the next season, but the patch did not have any event-related content hidden away.
Why Won't There Be a Live Event At The End of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1?
Even though live events at the end of a season have become the norm, there aren't always events. Especially after the first season of a chapter. Season 1 is usually there just to build excitement and hype for the rest of the chapter. This builds up for the upcoming big events in-game and in the lore. But there are other factors that could play into the reason why there won't be an event this time around.
Is There No Event Because Of The War In Ukraine?
The IO have come back this season to get revenge. All over the island, they're placing their drills to dig secret tunnels that lead to earthquakes all over. This all points towards an upcoming clash between those living on the island and the IO.
We all know what is currently happening in Ukraine, so it could be that Epic Games, given the current situation, has decided to refrain from showing any teaser with images of an upcoming war in them. They've also already decided to stop selling games in Russia and have even excluded Russian players from tournaments.
How Will The Fortnite Story Continue?
Even without a live event, the story has continued to move forward through small in-game occurrences. The story will likely continue in Season 2. Could it be that Tilted Towers is going to be destroyed? Or will the island be cut in half because of the underground drilling? So many theories, we hope to find out soon.
