Alan Wake 2 is one of the most anticipated games of 2023 for many gamers, myself included. That's why it hurts a bit that developer Remedy Entertainment has been radio silent since the game's announcement in 2021.

It's all the sweeter than, that we got a particularly juicy bit of info from none other than Matthew Porretta himself. The actor playing the titular hero Alan Wake has run his mouth a bit and revealed, when we can expect Alan Wake 2 to come out.

Alan Wake 2 Release Date "Leaked" By Voice Actor

Porretta was a guest on the "Monsters, Madness and Magic" podcast to talk about his career and what he has been up to lately. In the convo, he reveals that Alan Wake 2 is set to release in October 2023.

You can check out the podcast here, he talks about Alan Wake 2 around the 16:50 minute mark:

Actors nonchalantly revealing video game release dates is my favorite type of leak, so I'm glad to see it happen for a game as exciting and promising as AW2. Of course, this date is not set in stone and the game could be delayed internally.

Or could be just some nonsense said by an actor, who probably doesn't know the inner workings of the studio making it. But considering that Porretta often features in marketing matieral, as well as streams and videos by Remedy, he will probably know when his big next game is coming out.

So expect the release of Alan Wake 2 for October. Absolutely perfect time, considering the spooky vibes and the fact, that it will be Remedy's first Survival Horror game.
