The next Assassin's Creed game is supposed to release at some point in 2023 or 2024. The game will take place in Baghdad in the ninth century and judging by the official artwork it could also bring back the much loved stealth mechanics that have been missing in recent games.

Now, a leaker has revealed a short gameplay clip which has confirmed the hopes of some players and is getting a lot of them pretty hyped for the game to finally be playable.

Assassin's Creed Mirage: Gameplay Clip Leaked

On Reddit, a very short clip has leaked. In the clip we see the main character Basim Ibn Ishaq – whom we already know from Assassin's Creed Valhalla – dashing forward, his hood flowing behind him.

  • Have you ever wondered what goes into the making of a game like Assassin's Creed? Well then pre-order The Making of Assassin's Creed just in time for the series 15th anniversary!

The clip quickly went viral, with fans pretty excited for the return of the "robed man running" as one fan stated in the comment section below the clip.

It seems that Assassin's Creed Mirage is going to go back to the roots of the AC franchise and bring back the stealth and sneaking around large towns which has been missing for many players.

Yes, Valhalla was a huge success and a great game, but it is a vastly different play style and game from the original Assassin's Creed games that many grew up with, so a return to that would be a sure breath of fresh air for everyone.

We will likely receive more information on Assassin's Creed Mirage either at the next PlayStation Showcase on May 24, 2023 or at the Summer Game Fest 2023.

Honestly, I love reading about video game art and one of the best books that gave me more insight into one of my favorite games was The World of Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Journey to the north !
