Assassin's Creed Mirage is coming soon, but thanks to a recent leak, we can already share the official description for you. This description will appear in the PlayStation Store when the game becomes available to pre-order.
Assassin's Creed Mirage is going to be a new standalone Assassin's Creed game set in Baghdad. It's based on the life of a character who appears in Assassin's Creed Valhalla called Basim, and it's not to be confused with Assassin's Creed Infinite.
The game itself is still not out yet, but the PlayStation Store description of the product has been leaked by a well-known insider. We think most fans will be excited by this game, so let's check it out.
Official PS Store Description Of Assassin's Creed Mirage
Thanks to our favorite leaker Tom Henderson, we now have the official description of Assassin's Creed Mirage, and we think it sounds like we've got a promising Assassin's Creed game on our hands.
Here is the official description (according to Tom Henderson):
Experience the story of Basim, a cunning street thief seeking answers and justice as he navigates the bustling streets of ninth-century Baghdad. Through a mysterious, ancient organization known as the Hidden Ones, he will become a deadly Master Assassin and change his fate in ways he never could have imagined.- Experience a modern take on the iconic features and gameplay that have defined a franchise for 15 years.- Parkour seamlessly through the city and stealthily take down targets with more visceral assassinations than ever before.- Explore an incredibly dense and vibrant city whose inhabitants react to your every move, and uncover the secrets of four unique districts as you venture through the Golden Age of Baghdad. If you already own the PS4™ version of this game, you can get the PS5™ digital version at no extra cost and you do not need to purchase this product. Owners of a PS4™ disc copy must insert it into the PS5™ every time they want to download or play the PS5™ digital version. PS4™ game disc owners who buy the PS5™ Digital Edition disc-free console will not be able to get the PS5™ version at no extra cost.
What do you think? It sounds to us like they're going to return us to an Assassin's Creed 1-like setting, and that's great news. This could be the kind of back-to-basics game that every long-running franchise needs eventually. But...obviously we're still more hyped for the ambitious Assassin's Creed Infinite.
Assassin's Creed may have been disappointing on the big-screen, but what about a Netflix series...
