Assassin's Creed is getting a huge update that is 40-hours long, and inspired by God of War.
So, Assassin's Creed Valhalla is getting a 40-hour DLC. 40 hours of DLC. That's a new game. That's... two new games. I mean, damn... 40 hours is legit, and to make this even better, the DLC is reportedly heavily inspired by God of War. I'm hard. You hard? Damn.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla Getting 40-Hour God of War DLC
Tom Henderson is the source of this leak, and claims that this insanely long Assassin's Creed Valhalla DLC will be released in March 2022. He also claims that we will get more news on this during the upcoming Game Awards.
To be fair, this comes as no surprise, since Ubisoft has announced plans to keep releasing content for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Still, 40 hours of DLC is massive, and the fact that it's inspired by God of War... it doesn't get much better than this.
There's a new Assassin's Creed Valhalla DLC coming this December (announcement at TGA?).There's also a massive DLC expansion coming in March 2022. It's expected to be around 40 hours of additional gameplay and will be a "God of War-style" expansion, whatever that means.

Thus far, we don't know what exactly Ubisoft means by God of War-inspired, but it likely has something to do with Ragnarok. Does it mean we'll be fighting frost giants and gods? Will we get Kratos' weapons, or did Ubisoft maybe even somehow score a collaboration with Santa Monica Studios? The latter seems unlikely, but it sure is exciting to imagine.
It's also interesting that Ubisoft is so committed to keeping the content coming for Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and it bodes well for the future, since their next Assassin's Creed is intended to be live-service game, which was just revealed to get a Monster Hunter-like game mode. If this is anything to go by, then the future for the Assassin's Creed franchise is bright
