It won't be an easy task, but looking after the materials and crafting the weapons you need will come in handy as your enemies won't slow down on you, just because you haven't the best equipment.
We will tell you all the secrets you need to know and where you get the valuable materials from!
Baldur's Gate 3: Where To Find The Masterwork Forge
You can find the Masterwork Forge in the Blacksmith's House at the Blighted Village. To activate the initial quest line, you need to read the Highcliff's Journal near the fireplace and the Highcliff Blueprints in the cellar. To reach the cellar, you need to break through the hole covered in calcified webs.
The Blueprints mention the Sussur Tree, and so you must venture forth until you have access to the Underdark. Keep an eye out for a glowing blue tree in the Dread Hollow and get yourself the Sussur Tree Bark. But be aware: There are some nasty monstrosities lurking on your way there. Don't take this quest lightly!
However, with an Invisible or Misty Step spell, you can navigate without having to fight anything. Just remember to save from time to time, since the monsters are wandering and could accidentally run into you at any moment.
Baldur's Gate 3: How To Activate The Masterwork Forge
After you've got everything you need, return to the Blacksmith in Blighted Village and enter the cellar yet again. To forge your desired weapon, you need to click on the Melting Furnace and combine the Sussur Bark with it. This will activate it, and the flames glows in a bluish-white.
Upgrading Weapons With The Forge: The Sword, The Sickle & The Dagger
In order to craft a Masterwork Weapon, you need to use common weaponry in the crafting process, and you can only craft a Greatsword, Dagger or Sickle.
- Sussur Dagger – "Smoke like whorls of Sussur sap darken the metal of this daggers' blade" – grants weapon enchantment +1 and applies silence on impact;
- Sussur Sickle – "The sheen of Sussur spa forged into this sickle glows blue when it cuts through arcane energy" – grants weapon enchantment + 1 and applies silence on impact;
- Sussur Greatsword – "Sussur roots extend from this sword's hilt into the blade itself. It years to drink magic, silencing every creature it strikes" – grants weapon enchantment + 1 and applies silence on impact.
Every Sussur weapon gets the ability to silence the enemies after hitting them. Every spellcasting foe will have trouble dealing with you from now on, congratulations!
