Baldur's Gate 3 is a video game inspired by Dungeons and Dragons that lets you choose between many different classes and races. If for some reason you want to change your character later in the game, you will have the opportunity to do so. We reveal how.
Baldur's Gate 3 players listen up! Everyone who has ever played DnD knows the pain of a bad roll, it can mess up your character sheet for good. If this sounds like you, you can be excited, as Baldur's Gate lets you respec and even change the origins classes later in the game. Here is how to.
Baldur's Gate 3: How To Respec Your Character
If you want to change your character at any point in the game, you'll need to find a NPC called Withers, who you will meet in Act one. Don't worry, if you miss him, there'll still be a way to find him later on (he will just appear in your camp after a certain point around level 4). With him, you'll also be able to multiclass. Just as the name suggests, multiclassing is when a character gains an additional class, which opens up the opportunity to try out even more abilities.

You can also respec your Companions if you wish to do so. This way, you can change your Companions in a way that they fit your own build the very best.
Baldur's Gate 3: How To Change Origin Character Classes
Having a hard time deciding between a fixed origin character or creating your own hero with more freedom? No worries, I totally get it. But guess what? Even though the origins start with fixed classes, you can switch it up later in the game.
I was pretty surprised when I found that out. Just go see NPC Withers, pay 100 gold, and you can change your classes, skills, and stats. Easy-peasy!
This obviously allows you a huge amount of freedom in the game, and there will most likely be endless character combinations. We predict that this will boost the replayability of the game and be lots of fun to explore.
Baldur's Gate 3 is available for PC and releases for PlayStation 5 on September 6.
