A reliable leaker has revealed tons of new info on BioShock 4, including new details on the game's setting and open world gameplay.
BioShock 4 is currently in development at Cloud Chamber, the new studio by series creator Ken Levine. This has been confirmed way back in 2019, but details have been extremely rare. Officially, very little has been revealed so far. But we already got a bunch of credible BioShock 4 reveals and leaks before. Now a new batch of info on the long-awaited, untitled (no, it probably won't be called BioShock 4) game has leaked on the internet, including details on the setting, gameplay and release date of the game.

BioShock 4 Leak: Release Date, Setting, Gameplay & More
This info was revealed by @OopsLeaks, who previously released details on BioShock and other games. They wrote a long Twitter thread on everything they heard about BioShock 4, giving a complete guarantee on some details and qualifying others with a bit of doubt. So, you know... take everything here with a grain of salt. Let's take a look at what Mr. Oops "knows for sure":
- BioShock 4 was already supposed to be announced years ago, but has been pushed back due to internal issues at the studio and a lot of employees leaving.
- BioShock 4 is slated for a release date at the end of 2024, at the latest.
- The game could be announced at the next PlayStation Showcase.
- The game will be set in Antarctica and will be an open world game, which is claimed to be much larger than the other BioShock games. BUT: It is still supposed to be BioShock at the core, and won't "try to massively rethink the basics of previous games".
- The artstyle is supposed to be similar to Deathloop, and is being described as "psychedelic and trippy".
- Combat is supposed to feature multiple abilities and combinations between them. Terrain is also supposed to influence the gameplay.
That's quite a lot! If even half of that is true, then we're potentially in for something exciting here. Open world BioShock? Leaning into its psychedelic side? Could be really cool. Let's hope that it is true that the game could be revealed at the PlayStation Showcase, which could be held very soon.
