Bioshock 4 seems to have some development issues. Will this affect the release date of the highly anticipated fourth entry to the franchise?
So we just got word of a Bioshock movie coming to Netflix, and our Bioshock-fix seemed all but set: A new series, and a new game. What a time to be alive. Now, it seems that somebody's pissing all over our parade, because the game is not in as good a state, as we would all want it to be.
Bioshock Production Issues
New Bioshock have development issues. The company lost about 40 employees, including leads. According to my info, 2K is not satisfied with the project's results and pace. However, judging by T2's recent financial report, the game is still planed to be released by the end of 2024.

40 employees gone? Leads gone? That's... a terrible sign. I've never heard of a product reaching its full potential after losing 40 people and leads. Hell, I barely even know games that have that many people working on them.
Interestingly, though, the leak also claims that the game is still planning to release by 2024. Am I the only one with alarm bells going off? A game that loses this many people should not be able to maintain its schedule. That sounds like producers forcing developers to release the game no matter what, because... money. This sounds like a Cyberpunk debacle all over again, and I'm worried. Bioshock games have always stood for quality, and treating it like a franchise that needs to make its release date gives me real EA-FIFA-Activision-CoD-vibes... I don't like that at all.
Sure, they say it's a "restructure" and not "development hell", but that's like going on a break in a relationship or seeing other people for a while... sh*t's just not working.
I'm sure we'll get an update in time, since Bioshock is one of the bigger upcoming games, and there's no way it would remain silent, if that game was in serious trouble.
