According to an industry insider, Cities: Skylines 2 will be announced soon by developer and publisher Paradox.
Cities: Skylines originally released in 2015 and is arguably the best city sim ever made (sorry Sim City fans, this one was just better). Fans have obviously waited a while for a sequel, and it looks like we will finally get one soon.
Cities: Skylines 2 Will Be Announced Soon
According to a report by Insider Gaming , Paradox Interactive will reveal Cities: Skylines 2 and two other games at the Paradox Announcement Show on March 6 at 5 pm GMT/12 pm EST/9 am PST.
The long-awaited follow-up to the first game is set to be a next-gen exclusive. Insider Gaming's Mike Straw claims that the game will have "more open-ended gameplay", even though it's not fully clear what that will mean exactly. The sequel is also set to feature “fully-realized transport and economy systems”, which definitely tingles my city-planning brain.
Cities: Skylines 2 is set to release in 2023 for PC , PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S . The Paradox show is also set to reveal The Lamplighters League, a turn-based tactics game that seems to be inspired by Indiana Jones, and Life By You, a life simulator.
