It's time for the CS:GO IEM Rio Major 2022! Of course, only the best teams in CS:GO will compete at the Major. The level of gameplay in this tournament is obviously pretty damn high – which shouldn't come as a surprise, as it's one of the esports highlights of the year. The Legends Stage just ended, so we’re waiting for the final Champions Stage and the big final.

CS:GO IEM Rio Major 2022 Results: Team Liquid, ENCE and BIG Narrowly Fail
Team Spirit is the last team to qualify for the quarter-finals. The Eastern Europeans beat Team Liquid in the final Legends Stage match to make it into the final rounds of the tournament. Earlier, NaVi won their game against BIG 2:0 and MOUZ theirs against ENCE 2:1.
Elimination and advancement matches are best of 3, all other matches are best of 1, so each map has immense significance. The Legends Stage ended as follows:

The biggest surprise was, that FaZe Clan, the world champions, were eliminated early on. Sprout and Vitality entered the tournament with high expectations but also failed to make it into the next round after going 1 - 3. Unfortunately for them, only the best 8 teams qualify for the champions stage.

IEM Rio Major 2022: Champions Stage
The Champions Stage is now underway. Over the weekend, we saw the exciting knockout round of the tournament, which will culminate in the big final. Here are all results:

The Big Final
The IEM Major Rio 2022 ended with the big final on Sunday evening. At the end, it was a win by a clear margin of 2:0 for the Outsiders. Team Heroic had no chance on 'Mirage' as well as on 'Overpass'. The new Major-Champion of the IEM Rio Major 2022 is the Team Outsiders.
Livestream Options To Watch The CS:GO Tournament
The final stage of the 18th Major tournament will be played at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro and kick off Thursday, where the remaining eight teams will fight for the $500,000 prize money for the winners. The total prize pool of the event is $1.2 million. The event can also be followed via livestream.
