Deathloop is published by Bethesda, which is owned by Microsoft. However, it wasn't originally released on Xbox. Thankfully, that's changing.
Deathloop was released as a PS5 exclusive and then for PC, but what about poor old Xbox? Okay, we're getting ahead of ourselves, first things first here's a very brief overview of Deathloop, so you can check if you even care about this game. Deathloop is a first-person (mostly single-player) shooter set in a psychedelic urban environment, and it incorporates stealth and parkour. There is a multiplayer mode, but it's quite limited and probably closest to a Souls game; you can sort of "invade" another player's world and take them out.
So, what do you think? Still interested in Deathloop? If so, and if you're on Xbox, keep reading for good news.
Deathloop Spotted On Xbox
Deathloop has been spotted on the Xbox homepage ahead of its official release. This was just an accident on Xbox's end, but if they're already uploading thumbnails of Deathloop to the Xbox Store then this is 100% happening. Here was the Twitter-user who first spotted the mistake:
The PS5 exclusivity deal with Deathloop ends in a matter of days so if we had to guess we would assume official confirmation of this news is coming this week. And if Deathloop is coming to Xbox then eventually it's probably coming to Game Pass (despite Sony's questionable efforts to try and thwart the ever-expanding service).#Deathloop coming to #Xbox soon. After Sony's resounding dominance in the post-360 era, it looks like the tides are finally turning. Are you on one side or the other? Or maybe you're a member of the PC Master Race, unconcerned by these lowly console wars...
