The recent Diablo 4 Open Beta was a huge success. Blizzard just revealed some stats, showing that this was the most played beta in franchise history.
Just two months ahead of release, players had the chance to try out Diablo 4 during the game’s open beta. And boy, did a lot of y’all come out and play the game. Blizzard just revealed some impressive stats about the beta, including that it was played for almost 62 million hours. Jeez, that’s a lot of hours…
We Played A Lot Of Diablo 4 Last Weekend
The exact number is 61,560,437 hours. Wowza! If my math is correct, that’s over 7000 years! Unfortunately, Blizzard didn’t tell us how many players accumulated those 7000 years of playtime, but it’s still impressive. We do know that at least 2.6 million characters have reached level 20, thus unlocking the Beta Wolf Pack.

During these five Bronze Ages of game time, players killed a whopping 29,252,746,339 monsters and themselves died 46,924,644 times. Over 10 million came from the Diablo 4 world boss Ashava alone. These numbers are all so big! No wonder then that this was “the largest Beta in Diablo franchise history.”
It’s also nice that they gave a nod to the player who solo’d Ashava… or did they? You can see all the detailed stats here.
