In a few hours, the time has come for us to finally play Diablo 4 and dive into everything prepared for us. One thing has darkened the mood at the moment, however. Some microtransactions from the shop have leaked, and the prices are not cheap. Here is all we know about microtransactions in the game and why the community is very upset.

So there is no pay-to-win in Diablo 4. Everything in the shop is strictly for cosmetics, which means you do not get an advantage for the money you spend in-game. Remember this for the debate happening.

Community Angry About $30 Cosmetics In Diablo 4

On Reddit a picture of the shop with the Wraith Lord Set emerged, and the price is a whooping 2800 Platinum or in real currency $28. While the outfit does look cool, it is a pretty steep price tag for just a cosmetic and can empty your wallet fast, depending on how many you want. It is not surprising that many people feel pretty outraged at this.

Many others point out that the price is standard nowadays for many Games like Path of Exile or Lost Ark, but they are free to play. Diablo 4 costs $70 and with a battle pass and a cosmetic the price already jumps up to $110, which is a lot for many people. Of course, it is completely voluntary to partake in the shop, as it brings no mechanical in-game advantage, but who doesn't want to look stylish, while playing?

Let's see, how this will impact the game and if the shop will be widely used by us players. After all the game is amazing and has a lot of fun and fighting to offer us.
