In Diablo 4 you can find three Strongholds in the Scosglen area. In this article we explain how to find and complete the Scosglen Strongholds.
Diablo 4 introduces quite a lot of new features to the series and one of them are the new Strongholds. Strongholds are basically new, fixed locations on the map, that need to be conquered to unlock the area and with it also a new waypoint or other perk. Here is a rundown of what Strongholds in Diablo 4 are.
Each region in Diablo 4 has a total of three Strongholds. We will explain where to find them and how to complete them. Today we will focus on the Strongholds in the Scosglen area.
Diablo 4: Where To Find All Three Strongholds in Scosglen
Scosglen is one of the five main regions in Diablo 4 and is located in the north of the Diablo 4 map, right above Fractured Peaks and the Dry Steppes. On this map you can see the locations of all three Scosglen Strongholds:

You can complete the Strongholds in whatever order you want, we just numbered them to make it easier to explain. Here are the names of the Strongholds in Scosglen:
- Moordaine Lodge
- Hope's Light
- Túr Dúlra
How To Complete The Moordaine Lodge Stronghold
To complete the Moordraine Lodge Stronghold you need to find the three dead bodies of the hunters and defeat the final Stronghold boss in the form of a powerful druid.
As soon as you enter the Stronghold area you will find nearly all paths blocked by vines that you can just destroy with your normal attacks. We recommend clearing as many vines as possible before searching for the bodies, so you don't get stuck later on while kiting your enemies.
The bodies of the hunters can be found to the left and right of the Stronghold area and in the wooden house in the middle. Be aware that as soon as you interact with a body, a ton of enemies will spawn in, including some elite monsters. All enemies in this Stronghold will be animals such as wolves, bears, porcupines and the like. But don't be fooled, especially the porcupines with their ranged attacks can be super annoying.
After you found the last body, a werewolf boss will spawn and flee shortly after you started fighting him. Follow the blood trail to the most northern part of the area where you will find a boss arena. Now you have to face the Stronghold boss.
At first the druid boss will be a werewolf who will change into his human form after a while before then changing into a werebear. During the fight the druid will constantly spawn wildlife monsters and cast wind spells. If possible, try to get rid of the ranged adds in particular since they will otherwise constantly drain your health while fighting the boss. Avoid the tornados and AoE-attacks and just chip away at the druid's health.
After defeating the boss interact with the shrine at the top of the boss arena and the Moordraine Lodge Stronghold will be completed.

How To Complete The Hope's Light Stronghold
To complete the Hope's Light Stronghold, you need to find the lighthouse by jumping from island to island and fighting a ton of monsters and mini bosses, until you reach the final Stronghold boss.
At first make your way over the first few little islands or rather rocks in the water, until you reach the first ship wreck. Activate the winch and prepare for a tough fight against hordes of monsters and at least two elite enemies. However, you don't need to kill all of them, you just have to survive the timer, before you can leave the ship and all remaining enemies behind.
Continue your way until you reach the next ship wreck, however, before you climb the ladder, go south to another small island and kill all the enemies including the huge elite monster. Afterward pick up the broken gear in the top right of the island and return to the ship wreck. Climb on board, fix the winch with the gear and continue to the lighthouse.
The boss fight in the lighthouse isn't too bad. Try to avoid the poison puddles and the AoE-attacks and clear the adds as soon as they get spawned. After you finally slayed the boss, climb to the top of the lighthouse and light the fire. Climb down the ladder and interact with the shrine to finally complete the Hope's Light Stronghold.
How To Complete The Túr Dúlra Stronghold
Túr Dúlra is the most important Stronghold in Scosglen, since it will unlock a new waypoint and a bunch of side quests, as well as merchants. To complete it, you ultimately have to fight a strong boss with a bunch of adds – same as always.
After arriving in the Stronghold area, make your way to the top of the small mountain. When you arrive at the top, you will stand in front of a huge tree and see a ghostly monster appearing. Shortly after, you will be dragged into a kind of dream version of the real world and be attacked by a couple of enemies.
Now you have to hunt after the ghostly creature and fight a bunch of mobs and elite enemies on your way. After a while, you will return to the top arena in front of the tree and fight the final boss.
He wasn't too much of a challenge for our Rogue, but as always make sure to dodge the AoE-attacks and try to get rid of as many adds as possible. After you have slayed the boss, interact with the shrine to complete the Stronghold. This will unlock a new waypoint as well as a bunch of NPCs and side quests.
And that's all there is to the Strongholds in Scosglen. What do you think about the Stronghold mechanic in Diablo IV ? We really like it and feel it's a nice additional activity with some cool rewards.
