Did you know that Dr. Disrespect was actually a game designer once? In fact, the Doc worked on Call of Duty in the past. So... him actually working on a game is more than just another influencer lending his name to a game. Dr. Disrespect actually knows what he's doing, and he definitely is legit when he talks about this game. On the flipside, we're also legit when we say that an FPS blockchain shooter sounds... worrying.

Dr. Disrespect Gives Details on Project Moon

First of all, Dr. Disrespect revealed that the working title for the game is Project Moon. Also, his studio, Midnight Society, finally revealed some hard facts about the game on their website. According to them, we can look forward to a "vertical extraction shooter" with PvPvE gameplay. If you're anything like me and wondering what vertical extraction shooter means, here's a bit of an explanation:

Our high-level gameplay goals are to capture the essence of arena shooter level design with the scale and scope of battle royale player counts, and the session-to-session gameplay mechanics of extraction-based shooters.

Throughout the development, players will be able to play the game in short gameplay glimpses. This is exclusive to Access Pass holders, which bought a Founders Pass NFT for $50. So, translated that means: You'll have to pay to test Dr. Disrespect's game for him, but... you get NFTs out of it, which might or might not be worth something one day.

In case Dr. Disrepsect's past experience doesn't give the game enough legitimacy - he co-founded the study with ex Halo and Call of Duty developers, so that should soothe some worries. Project Moon does not have a release date as of yet, but it is still possible to - literally - buy into the game for exclusive access.
