The RPG musical Stray Gods from Dragon Age writer David Gaider gets delayed to make room for Baldurs Gate 3, after it was originally planned to release on the same day.
With the fast approaching release of Baldur's Gate 3, fans of RPG games and the whole gaming industry are getting ready to dive deep into the franchise once more. Not only the fans are eager to play the game, but the developers of Stray Gods as well!
As a result, developer Summerfall Studios announced a delay for their first game Stray Gods to prevent the struggle of having to play either Baldur's Gate 3 or Stray Gods. They want to give fans some room to celebrate the upcoming RPG titles, so the new release is set for August 10, 2023.
Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical Is a Unique Experience
Summerfall Studios was created by non-other than David Gaider (responsible for the Dragon Age franchise) and Liam Esler (responsible for the Pillars of Eternity franchise) in 2017, while having a conversation about their "dream game" and noticing they have the same vision.
Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical is a narrative-focused game for players who value storytelling and unique aesthetics over combat and sandbox gameplay. In this game, you're able to dive into an urban fantasy world of music and adventure, where reality and the supernatural collide and the Greek gods live among you.
You're taking up the role of Grace, recently blessed with the power of song by the Last Muse who gave away her gift while dying in your arms. Being accused of murdering her, you have only one week to prove your innocence before mystic beings called the "Chorus" take your life as punishment.
Stray Gods will release on August 10 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
