- Dawntrail leading you into the New World
- Graphic overhaul

- More depth to Fashion Fantasy
- Changes to system requirements
Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail Leading You Into The New World
The Dawntrail expansion brings you to Tural, a continent far to the west of Eorzea and has only been known as the "New World". With beauty at it peak, this mysterious land is rich in nature, adventures and different places like the fabled city of gold, Tuliyollal.
The continent draws inspiration from South American cultures and is inhabited by the Hrothgar and Mamool Ja, who are mostly known as mercenaries in Eorzea. Tural also features different environments, and when you first arrive, it gives you a sense of a summer vacation – Can't wait for my next summer vacation in Tural.
Meanwhile, there's some tension going on in Tural about who's going to take charge after the two-headed leader, Gulool Ja Ja, from the Mamool Ja. You get caught up in this whole debate of succession while traveling through the continent.
Final Fantasy 14: Graphic Overhaul
The graphical update were announced two years ago and it's nothing like that first early in development images. It's rather more like a well-deserved overhaul, finally surpassing the overly-complicated models from the 1.0 era.
This new upgrade is adding depth to models, textures and graphical fidelity that allows you to see Final Fantasy 14 in a complete different light. The faces are smooth, gorgeous, and the eye reflection is stunning. While the armor shines and reflects the sunshine and the nature is abundant, rich and colorful.
Final Fantasy 14: Two New Job Classes
Yoshi-P also announced teased two new jobs including a melee DPS and a ranged caster. The classes hasn't been revealed yet. However, the trailer features the Warrior of Light, with a longsword and light armor – maybe we're getting a pirate-like adventurer class, as we set sail to a sunny island?
While on stage, Yoshida wore a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shirt, leading many to think there's a hidden message behind it. Since the turtles are ninjas, some people believe the melee job might be a Ninja-like and the ranged caster could become a Green Mage.
Final Fantasy 14: Increased Level Cap
The Dawntrail expansion brings new progression for both veteran and new players. With the upcoming big update, the level and job cap will officially increase to 100, allowing everyone to enjoy and tackle the new challenges.
This means everyone will get new abilities including new ways of dealing with problems, raids, dungeons and more. This will affect combat jobs, crafter and gatherers alike.
Final Fantasy 14: New Core Battle Content
Let's not forget the Core Battle Content update, including lots of new activities for everyone, no matter what you like most.
With new F.A.T.E events, Hunts and treasure Hunts and new Quest-synced Sidequests, every one of you will find something to do. But there will also be new Dungeons, Alliance, Eight-Players and Ultimate Raids and new Threats looming in the shadows waiting for your arrival.
Final Fantasy 14: More Depth To Fashion Fantasy
One of the bigger announcement includes major changes to how the dye system works. At the moment, every piece can only be dyed with a single color. But with Dawntrail nearly every item will get an additional dye slot.
In addition to this upgrade, the character will gain an extra slot for headgear accessories like eyeglasses or goggles, which are luckily cosmetic-only. Over the time, the transmog system in Final Fantasy 14 got a little bit dusty, but with this addition it's taking a step into the right direction.
We'll also be implementing various system updates in #Dawntrail as well. pic.twitter.com/lEfMjRAfnG
