Rumbleverse reminds a lot of people of Fortnite, and the melee battle royale is about to be fully released, begging the question: What's the difference between Fortnite and Rumbleverse, and why should you play Rumbleverse?
Fortnite needs no introduction, and it's also not getting one. You know the deal. Rumbleverse, meanwhile, looks a lot like Fortnite, and is also published by Epic Games, but the game is developed by Iron Galaxy Studios and is quite different from its obvious role model. Now, with life being what it is, time is limited, and sometimes we can only be addicted to one battle royale, meaning these two need a showdown as well: Fortnite vs Rumbleverse, what are the differences, and why should you bother playing Rumbleverse?
Fortnite vs Rumbleverse: Why Rumbleverse Is Better
Of course, this is all hypothetical, since Rumbleverse hasn't been released yet, but there's a clear and definite reason to prefer Rumbleverse over Fortnite: Rumbleverse is all melee-action, and does not feature any guns. It also doesn't have any building mechanics. So if you are tired of the reflex-heavy gun & building action in Fortnite, then Rumbleverse will be exactly the breath of fresh air you're looking for.
Rumbleverse controls similarly to wrestling games of the past, and actually has a lot of WWE influences. In fact, it's a lot like a crossover between WWE and Fortnite, so expect this one to be closer to a fighting game, than a shooter. Developer Iron Galaxy worked on fighting games like Dive Kick and Killer Instinct, so they are well at home within the fighting game genre.
Another reason you might prefer Rumbleverse over Fortnite, is because Rumbleverse is brand-new: There are no people with years of experience, that simply leave you in the dust with no chance of winning. Rumbleverse is a fresh start for everyone, so it's your chance to get in early, and not to be at the mercy of tryhards, because, let's face it, with the complex building mechanics, there is no battle royale more daunting to get into than Fortnite.
If this all got you convinced, then lucky you, because you can join the action soon: Rumbleverse is releasing on February 15, but you can get into the early access beta as early as February 8
