Even though the highlight of the new Genshin Impact patch 4.3 will obviously be Navia, we mustn’t forget that we'll also be getting a new 4-star unit on top of that! And to be quite honest, Chevreuse does look pretty cool, despite being “just” a 4-Star.

If you plan on pulling for Chevreuse, you should definitely stay tuned and check out her abilities and best builds right here! I'm pretty sure that you will love her kit!

Genshin Impact: Chevreuse – Everything You Need To Know

First things first: When can we finally pull for Chevreuse and Navia?

Chevreuse Release Date

The upcoming entire version 4.3 will go live in just a few days, on December 20, 2023, including Navia and Chevreuse. If you want to stay up to date, you can check out HoYoverse's Special Announcements Stream and take a look at all the oncoming events and characters!

Navia will already be available in the first half of the next banner, whereas Chevreuse will only appear in the second phase. Unfortunately, this means that we will have to be patient a little longer! The second phase starts on January 9, 2024!

📌 Chevreuse Overview
Banner Start:January 9, 2024
Element & Weapon:Pyro / Polearm
Rarity:4-Star
Pre Release Ranking:A-Tier

Chevreuse herself is a pretty interesting character and despite being a 4-Star, she seems to be super important storywise. For everyone who doesn’t know her, Chevreuse is the present Captain of the Special Security and Surveillance Patrol.

Chevreuse's Abilities

If you are looking for an effective, yet simple Pyro character, who can keep your team alive and provides some damage, Chevreuse could be a good pick for you! Let's take a look at her abilities, up close:

Auto Attack

  • Normal Attack: Chevreuse executes a sequence of four attacks with her polearm.
  • Charged Attack: Chevreuse has a pretty standard charged attack, propelling forward in a spiraling motion.
  • Plunging Attack: When jumping off a higher place, Chevreuse plunged to the ground, dealing some AoE physical DMG.

Elemental Skill

  • Press: Chevreuse quickly shoulders her musket and fires at her opponents, dealing AoE DMG.
  • Hold: When holding her Elemental Skill, Chevreuse enters an aiming mode, locking a target in her sights to fire a more precise shot. For a short duration after said shot, she will continuously restore HP to your active on field character.

Note: Whenever your team triggers Overload, Chevreuse stores one special overloaded bullet in her musket, which she uses when holding her Elemental Skill for the next time, unleashing a super strong charged shot!

Elemental Burst

  • Chevreuse fires an explosive grenade with her musket, which splits up into many smaller bombs on impact on the ground. These bombs apply Pyro DMG to everything they touch.

Her kit sounds pretty easy, however, that overcharged mechanic is really creative in my opinion! There are definitely some ways to build a fun team around that! (And I bet it involves Raiden Shogun!)

Chevreuse's Artifacts

Chevreuse's abilities scale off of her max HP, which makes her super easy to build as well!

1. This is Chevreuse's best Artifact set:

Just like many of the other supports/healers in Genshin Impact, Chevreuse will benefit the most from the Nobless Oblige set. Its 4-piece effect is just too powerful to not use it at least on one unit of your team! Easy and effective seems to be Chevreuse's shtick!

Nobless Oblige effect:

  • 2-piece: Elemental Burst DMG +20%
  • 4-piece: After using your Elemental Burst, all teammates get +20% ATK, which lasts 12 seconds.

2. Alternative set option:

Next to Nobless Oblige, which focuses on buffing your team's ATK, you can also choose to go with a Maiden Beloved set instead, in order to make your heals much stronger!

Maiden Beloved effect:

  • 2-piece: Increases Healing done by 15%.
  • 4-piece: For 10 seconds after casting an Elemental Skill or Burst, teammates receive +20% additional healing.

Which one of these sets fits your team best, is up to you and really depends on if you want her to be your only healer or if you already have someone, who can provide your team with heals or shields! I really love characters, who can take multiple roles and in her case, she can either an offensive or defensive support.

Onto the last but definitely not the least important part of the guide!

Chevreuse's Best Weapons

Despite fighting with her musket a lot, Chevreuse will be a polearm user! She has a lot of options when it comes to a good weapon for her, and luckily almost all of them are super free-to-play friendly! Next to that, since Chevreuse is a 4-Star unit, she will not have a signature weapon!

Surprisingly, since version 4.2 there is a special weapon for Chevreuse, which can be acquired through the crafting system in Fontaine! HP weapons are usually pretty useless, but in this case, they are more than welcome!

1. Rightful Reward

  • Base ATK: 565
  • Second Stat: 27.6% HP

Effect: When the wielder is healed, restore 8 Energy. This effect can be triggered once every 10 seconds, and can also occur when the character is not on the field.

Just as I said: easy & effective!

Alternatively, you can also choose to take the go-to support weapon as well!

2. Favonius Lance

  • Base ATK: 565 ATK
  • Second Stat: 30.6% Energy Recharge

Effect: CRIT Hits have a 60% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for your character.

No matter which weapon you pick, Chevreuse will be a great addition to your team and even your entire account! Definitely try to get at least one of her copies!

And that's about all there is to know about the upcoming unit Chevreuse and her best build! if you plan on pulling for her, we wish you the best of luck!
