Navia will be the new 5-Star Geo unit from Fontaine, and she could also be the one, who changes the element Geo for good! A lot of players fell in love with her design ever since the version 4.0 trailer, where we could see her flying through the air with her umbrella!

If you also plan on pulling for Navia, you should definitely check out the following guide and her abilities in advance. I bet you will love her kit!

Genshin Impact: Navia – Everything You Need To Know

Before we take a look at how to build Navia and what her abilities will be, we have to find out when we will be able to pull her!

Navia Release Date

The 5-Star character Navia, who uses the element Geo and wields a Claymore, will be up in just a few weeks actually! To be precise, her banner will start on December 20, 2023, and will be in the first phase of banner 4.3 of Fontaine! However, there will be a lot of other new upcoming characters, so choose wisely on who to pull for.

📌 Navia Overview
Banner Start:December 20, 2023
Element & Weapon:Geo / Claymore
Rarity:5-Star
Pre Release Ranking:lower S-Tier

We already got to know Navia quite a bit throughout the Fontaine archon quest line. She played an essential role during the 4.0 part and has an amazing personality if you ask me. She is the leading president of the “Spina di Rosula”, an organization which her father Callas founded.

She really looks badass!

After her father died, Navia tried everything to restore the honor of the former Spina di Rosula leader. Especially her relationship with Clorinde during the entire story quest is quite interesting, and it's really fascinating to see the development of both their points of view.

Let's take a closer look at her kit!

Navia's Abilities

Even though Navia seem like a 5-Star version of Noelle, her kit is far off from that, actually. If you love one of a kind character, Navia will definitely be right up your alley!

Auto Attack

Normal Attack

  • Navia performs up to three strikes.

Charged Attack

  • The animation or sequence of Navia's charged attack is yet to be revealed. We will update this part of the article whenever we have more information on it.

Plunging Attack

  • When jumping off a higher place, Navia plunges to the ground, dealing AOE physical damage.

Elemental Skill

  • When Navia activates her elemental skill, she turns into a special mode, where her umbrella turns into a gun! (How cool is that?!)
  • She is continuously firing at nearby enemies and automatically absorbs all nearby crystallized shards. These shards provide different buffs to her, depending on the shard's element.

Elemental Burst

  • When you activate Navia's Elemental Burst, she sets up a full on cannon, that automatically deals Geo damage to nearby enemies and generates crystallized shards.
  • Navia will again absorb crystallized shards, which will prolong the duration of her ultimate cannon.

Sounds like a pretty unique kit in my opinion! Let's check out how to build her.

Navia's Artifacts

Other than a lot of the previously releases Geo units, Navia does not scale off of DEF. Instead, it seems like she profits off of ATK much more than any other stat.

This is Navia's best Artifact set:

It seems like Navia will get her very own new Artifact set in 4.3 or 4.4, which is quite needed because as I mentioned earlier, Navia, despite being a Geo character, does not need any DEF stats.

#1 Navia Signature Set

As of right now, this set is only leaked and does not have a real name. However, we do know its effect, and it really looks like this Artifact set was made for Navia alone. That also means, there is no point in prefarming other Artifact pieces for her, since her best in slot won't be available until her release or even later on.

Navia Signature Set effect:

  • 2-piece: 18% Attack
  • 4-piece: After using an Elemental Skill, increases Geo DMG by 16% for 10 seconds. If the character is protected by a shield created through a Crystallize reaction, this Geo DMG bonus is increased by an additional 150%. The increased effect will be removes one second after losing the Crystallize shield protection.

Maybe they should really just call it “The Navia Set”, that's how good it fits to her kit! Unfortunately there are no other sets, that would be suitable for her kit, other than stacking ATK % on a broken set or trying to build two 2-piece sets for the maximum ATK and CRIT.

Navia's Best Weapon

Whenever a new 5-Star character enters the battlefield, HoYoverse is also releasing a signature weapon for said new unit. Navia won't be an excuse to that rule. Her very own weapon's effect got leaked just super recently, and it seems to be a pretty unique one as well!

The most notable thing about Navia's signature weapon is probably its shape! Despite counting as a claymore, Navia's weapon does look much more like an axe than a sword, which sounds quite interesting and is definitely one of a kind! Let's take a look at its stats!

Severance (name will change in the future)

  • Base ATK: 674
  • Second Stat: 22.1% CRIT Rate

Effect: Increases ATK by 20%. When characters in the team obtain crystals through Crystallize reactions, the wielder is granted a “Sigil” which increases Elemental Skill DMG by 18% for 15 sec. This effect can stack up to two times. All Sigils will be removed 0.2 seconds after the wielder's Elemental Skill deals damage.

Sounds pretty basic, yet really effective!

If you prefer using a weapon you might already have on Navia, here is another Claymore which could be almost as good as her best in slot weapon!

Beacon of the Reed Sea

  • Base ATK: 608
  • Second stat: 33.1% CRIT Rate

Effect: After the character's Elemental Skill hits an opponent, their ATK will be increased by 20~40% for 8s. After the character takes DMG, their ATK will be increased by 20~40% for 8s. The 2 aforementioned effects can be triggered even when the character is not on the field. Additionally, when not protected by a shield, the character's Max HP will be increased by 32~64%.

If this sword really could be one of her better options depends on if her umbrella gun's attacks count as auto attacks or her elemental skill damage. So keep in mind, if her umbrella gun attacks are treated as normal attack, this sword is unfortunately useless on Navia.

That's about all there is to know about Navia as for now. Do you like her kit, and do you plan on pulling for her? As for me, I think she is a fascinating character, however, she does not fit in any of my teams, which is why I have to skip her for now …
