Genshin Impact has a ton of either badass or cute looking characters. But all of us, have that one very special character that is particularly close to our hearts. For some players, this might be their very first, for others, the appearance, or the kit is what makes the difference.
Considering a particular character in Genshin Impact to be cool or good-looking is really not a crime, and I think we can agree on that. However, there are some players, who struggle to differentiate between their real life and Teyvat!
It's hard to believe, but there is something like a war going on on certain social media platforms. And responsible for this is presumably Furina, who cheated her fans? … Really?!
Do people not have any other problems?

I know, it sounds super strange and to be fair, it is super strange!
So there is a whole community of Genshin Impact players, who believe that Furina is basically their girlfriend and who got jealous over Neuvillette's and Furina's relationship.
This “relationship” is not real within the Genshin story line, but many players, that think Furina and Neuvillette belong together, and they formed the shipping name “Focallette”. And as I already mentioned, some other obsessed fans hate that their “girlfriend” gets shipped with another male, in Genshin Impact, the GAME. (I just wanted to make that clear once again.)

Actually, this entire crises already started a long time ago but after the latest 4.1 update, the situation got especially spicy. This discussion has its origin on a social media platform called Tieba. Some fans started to get extremely upset over the fact, that Furina didn't show any affection towards the player (main character, being Aether or Lumine) in the lore. Instead, there is a lot of interaction between Furina and Neuvillette.
So basically, they think Furina is “cheating on them”, and decided to ruin her, and this ship, which is completely fictional anyway. On said social media platform, they pretended to be Focallette shippers, and started to shit-post Focallette fanarts, which got uploaded to the platform.

This led to many users who liked the Furina x Neuvillette ship, being insulted in the worst way, their art got stolen, deleted, reported and even repainted in a pretty bad way. All of that leaves this once so peaceful platform for fanfictions and fanarts under pretty chaotic circumstances.
This is just so strange ...
I guess I don't have to say how incredibly childish such behavior is. Besides the fact that this character doesn't exist in real life, no drama on earth is worth insulting other people when they're just doing what they enjoy. A really sad part of the Genshin community.
Luckily, these clowns are by far the minority, and there are much more reasonable players, who just enjoy the game and the story for what it is.
