Goat Simulator 3 is happening, and proves that you don't need a sequel to make a trilogy.
This was never going to be a serious article, was it? We've just got to lean into the meme. And what a meme it is! Eight years after Goat Simulator came along and blew us away with its eccentric mix of long tongues, furry faces, and traumatized locals, we just haven't been able to get it out of our minds.
I mean, f**k of Dark Souls II. Bugger your way to heaven Wolfenstein: The New Order, Dragon Age: Inquisition and Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. Goat Simulator was pure game-of-the-year material, and there was nothing else that could be said. This game was so god-damn great that its developers even forgot to make a sequel.
Enter: Goat Simulator 3, the biggest announcement of Summer Games Fest 2022. Its short trailer was better than anything we saw in the entire darn show and we are not going to apologize for making that statement. Well. I won't apologize. Here's a quick disclaimer: this is an unsolicited opinion and not the opinion of EarlyGame itself. I'm sure my colleagues agree with me, though.

Goat Simulator Devs Forgot to Make a Sequel
It's official, ladies and gentlemen, Coffee Stain Studios (the folks behind Goat Simulator) forgot to make a gosh-darn sequel. They are making the third game, though, they haven't entirely dropped the ball. They merely forgot to bounce it. I don't know what this metaphor is, but this game is such a meme that we may as well make this article read just the same way.
The thing about Goat Simulator 3 is that it comes just at the right time. I mean, for goodness' sake, the world couldn't be more grim at the moment and we honestly need to just f**k around, pretend that we're a goat, and trip over old ladies with our long-ass neck.
When is the Goat Simulator 3 Release Date?
All that we know so far is the Goat Simulator 3 is coming in Fall 2022. Now, we can't trust that date. After all, this game is literally just a meme. For all we know the game could not exist at all. In fact, that would be the ultimate meme. Still, I want to play this game, please let it actually exist.
