From the preview, it seems we can expect great things from Gotham Knights. Arkham fans will be pleased.
Batgirl gliding over the city... tall buidings, dark alleyways, dangerous streets - everything you know and loved from Arkham Knight is there in Gotham Knights - except... bigger.
Gotham Knights Preview
One reason the game feels bigger is the the obvious difference in naming: Arkham had a knight, but Gotham has knights: Robibn, Red Hood, Nightwing, Batgirl - each with their own combat- and traversal-methods. Red Hood with the dual guns, Robin with the bo staff... each Gotham Knights character is unique, and each can be upgraded and customized.
On the side of the antagonists, Harley Quinn plays a major part, and story-wise the demise of Batman is the cornerstone of everything that's happening. Gameplay-wise, the open-world is awesome, and the batcycle is much more fun than the terrible batmobile we had to put up with the last time around.
In essence, you can kind of expect a good mix between the Arkham games and Marvel's Spider-Man game, when Gotham Knights releases very soon: The game is dropping on October 21, and it's coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X and S. Yup, this one is a true next-gen game, and from what we can tell, it's making the most of it. Good time to be a comic-book loving gamer, with Marvel also dropping gems daily...
