Ahead of its official reveal, the design of Mario, Peach and many more have been leaked. So let's take a look.
Ladies and gentlemen... we got 'em. We now know what the Mario characters will look like in the upcoming animation movie, which so far is simply titled "The Super Mario Bros. Movie". After Nintendo and Illumination,dropped their trailer, we got some more leaks that show us a little more of the promotional material.
This Is What Mario, Peach, Bowser and Co. Will Look Like In The Mario Movie
First, a bit of context of what happened, because it's random. One user on the ConnerEatsPants discord, a server for fans of the YouTuber of that name, claimed to have seen an early peek of promo material for the film, showing the mustached plumber, and leaked an image.
Now even more leaks have been published, showing pretty much the full roster of characters through promotional posters etc.

I know... shocking, right? I know, it's Mario. Not too much room to play with. But remember the Sonic disaster? This kind of thing could be a catastrophe, but the Mario designs look alright. I don't know what I expected, but so far the movie looks like it's just going to be a giant cutscene, right out of Super Mario Odyssey.
I know we've already got the trailer and all, but these posters give a little extra context regarding the plot.
It's kinda fun to overanalyze the promotional posters, as fans pointed out a lot of hidden details in the background. There is, for example, Pauline talking to some bald dude, right in front of a street sign saying Brooklyn. So it seems like the movie will be playing at least partly in New Donk City, which is kinda hype!
The rest will obviously play out in the Mushroom Kingdom, as we can see that in the trailer. Oh, and also Cool, Cool Mountain, with the penguins and all.
Regarding the character designs, we even got a size chart, where we can see and compare all the important character designs, like Bowser, Mario, the Koopa Troopa etc.

I don't know why that would be important, but have fun with it until the movie releases on April 7.
