One of the most reliable sources in the video game industry, Jason Schreier of Bloomberg, just confirmed a lot of the most prominent GTA 6 leaks.
Ladies and gentlemen... we got them. GTA 6 leaks and rumors are aplenty on the internet, I can't open my newsfeed without seeing at least one new story about something. And it's understandable, GTA 6 is one of the most anticipated games of all time and people are excited. And it's surely not all BS, right? Well... not all of it, no.
Some leaks stuck around longer and more credibly than others, forming some believable and common theories and rumors. Here's the kicker... most of these are now basically confirmed.
Reporter Confirms GTA 6 Leaks
Jason Schreier of Bloomberg, who is one of the most reliable reporters and sources of insider info in the video game industry, wrote a big report on changes to the work culture at Rockstar Games. In this report, which was based on "interviews with more than 20 people who either work there or left very recently", Schreier also confirms some of the most common leaks and rumors about Grand Theft Auto 6.
Here is a list of the GTA 6 details that Schreier confirmed in his reporting:
- GTA 6 will feature two protagonists, one of which is a female Latina
- The game did have the code name Project Americas and was supposed to take place across multiple cities on the different continents. That idea was scrapped during development.
- According to Schreier, GTA 6 will take place in "a fictional version of Miami and its surrounding areas", most likely confirming the return of Vice City
- Continuous updates are supposed to add new missions and cities in the future
- Initial world is already very large, most interiors in any GTA game
Of course, none of this is still 100% confirmed, as these reveals haven't been made official yet. However, Schreier is extremely reliable and usually right on the money. That's why I really mean it, when I say that I'm incredibly excited to hear about this. And it's cool to see that actually quite a few of the leaks seem to be right. Who would have thought?
