Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnik is confident in the development of GTA 6, and claims that the recent leak won't affect the future release date of the game.
The huge GTA 6 leak in September shook the gaming world. Over 80 videos were put on the internet, showing the game in a very early state, which was one of the biggest leaks in the history of games. What exactly the consequences of this leak will be, is still unclear.

Many were worried that this might delay the game's release. Now, Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Rockstar Games parent company Take-Two, has come out to calm our nerves and reassure us that everything is fine... thank God.

Rockstar Boss Responds To GTA 6 Leak
During a recent earnings call, Zelnick responded to the "disappointing" leaks, claiming that they won't have an effect on the development of the game. During the leak, Rockstar Games was hacked and it was alleged, that sensitive material was stolen, including source code. Zelnick now alleges, that actually no assets or materials were stolen and that the hack "won’t have any influence on development”.

What GTA 6 exactly is and when it will come out is still a huge mystery. Even though we saw a lot of the game during the mega leak, we're no smarter about the possible release date. We still expect the game to be internally delayed, despite what Zelnick says. But does it make such a huge difference, whether it comes out in 2024 or 2025? Probably not.
