GTA San Andreas is getting a VR game for the Oculus Quest 2, and we're so here for it. Imagine the possibilities. Seriously: Imagine. Imagine and read on.
The GTA Trilogy Remaster just got its official trailer and a release date, and now we already have more news: GTA San Andreas is coming to VR. More specifically, it's coming to the Oculus Quest. There is no release date for when this is happening, but Mark Zuckerberg dropped some boring corporate bla-bla to somehow make this less exciting:
This new version of what I think is one of the greatest games ever made will offer players an entirely new way to experience this iconic open world in virtual reality.
Ew. Mark Zuckerberg talking about GTA San Andreas as if he played it. Also, what is it with this dumbass statements? 'Like never before', 'unique experience'... why do companies insist on releasing this copy pasta with every announcement? I'll never understand, but anyway: GTA San Andreas getting a VR version is pretty hype. Yeah, sure, modders already got Red Dead Redemption 2 running in VR and even GTA 5, but... an official release should be much more polished.
Ok, now that I got our own corporate bla-bla coverage stuff out the way, it's time for an opinion: GTA San Andreas in VR? Daf*ck? This is soooo going to escalate. All the murder mayhem, all the prostitutes, all the old ladies waiting to be run over... I mean... that's kinda messed up, right? I know VR is the future and all, and there are many violent VR games already, but just hearing about San Andreas making the jump is really driving this point home for me: VR is going to be a problem. Seriously. It's going to get real troublesome once kids start playing these VR games and can literally simulate mercilessly killing people in the most grotesque ways possible. I don't know how to feel about that, but at the same time, I know I'll be playing San Andreas VR. I might stop running old ladies over with my car, though. We'll see.
